Yumiko Chiba Associates is delighted to present a group show of the artists beyond generations from our programme - in the theme of ‘Vision and Division, Connection’, interpreting concept of collage from a new perspective for Paris Photo 2023.

Collage is originated in Papiers Colles in early 20th century, which has developed today, enable even to vanish perceptual boundaries of image across genre.
Using new StareReap 2.5D print, Kazuo KITAI (1944-) rips his original print captured student movement in 1960s and unites back. He connects both ages to question toward the ideology of the time. Kenryou GU (1994- ) uses digital camera as if it is paint and enables to releases limit of consciousness to visualize highly-dense image of scenery in unconsciousness.
Shin YANAGISAWA (1936–2008) cut out ordinary life through his eyes toward society; photo-collage in camera. Ryudai TAKANO (1963- ) achieves collage between body and space in film camera. Masafumi MAITA (1944-2009) realized to connect time and space by collage of form and nature, as stated by Cezanne; Treat nature in terms of the cylinder, the sphere, and the cone, the whole put into perspective.
