1957
Graduates from Tokyo Junior College of Photography (currently Tokyo Polytechnic University), Department of Photography.
Enters Kuwasawa Design School; withdraws in August.

1959
Three-person show (Shin Yanagisawa, Yoshihiro Tatsuki, Takashi Kasanuki) “AdLib3” (Fujifilm Photo Salon).

1960
Shows Deisuteine no buyodan no odoriko (Dancers from the Destiny Dance Troupe) in “Contemporary Japanese Photographies 1959” (The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo).

1967
Receives the Japan Photo Critics Association Newcomer’s Award for Futatsu no machi no taiwa (Dialogue Between Two Cities) and Tappi (Cape Tappi, Aomori).

1974
Shows work in “Fifteen Photographers Today (The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo).

1976
Shows work in “Neue Fotografie aus Japan” (Kulturhaus der Stadt Graz, Graz, Austria; travelling thereafter).

1977
